High School Senior

Calling all Rushford Peterson High School Seniors! Are you considering a senior photo session to document this unforgettable moment in your life? You might be wondering what to wear, how to pose, or even when and where to take your pictures. There’s no need to worry or stress. That’s exactly what I’m here for! Taking photographs to embody your senior year should be fun. So, to reduce stress, I’ve pulled together some helpful tips for planning your senior session.

Tips For Your Rushford Peterson High School Senior Session

Choosing Outfits

It goes without saying you want to look put together, flawless, and, most of all, like YOU. When picking your outfit(s), you want something that compliments your tone, flatters your body and fits your personality. I highly recommend checking out shops like Willow Boutique, Ama La Vita, or Touch of Class, where they have stylists ready in their shop to help you find the perfect dressy to casual fit for you.

If you want a more casual and fun look, Dale’s Clothing, The Boutique Station, and On Track Boutique will always be there for you with their array of styles. Look for solid colors (they show up better in photos and let you shine) that complement you.

Whether your style is dressy or more flirty and relaxed, make sure it’s comfortable and easy to move in. You want to look and feel at ease during your session. Most importantly, find something that makes you smile and feel good about yourself. Your confidence and happiness will shine.

Make It About You!

When it comes to poses, props, or themes, let’s focus on YOU and show who you are. The possibilities are endless for your hobbies, personalities, sports team, music, theater, and more.

We can incorporate your instrument, favorite literature, acting passion, passion for your sports team, and horseback riding. Ask yourself what brings you joy and what you are proud of from your time in high school. Your Rushford Peterson High School senior session should empower you to shine.

Locations + Timing

When it comes to where and when, there are a few specifics. Golden hour will always be the most flattering time for natural lighting when taking outdoor photos. If you book a portrait session, I highly recommend the Fall, but if you’re thinking of a cap and gown, Spring is the best time.

Let’s talk about backdrops. Places with greenery, lush gardens, brick walls, urban areas, and open spaces like farms are classics. We can also find fun backgrounds at the school, museums, buildings with unique structures, the airport, your church, your favorite fast food joint, or a place you hang out that embraces high school for you. Have fun with it.
